Mas sabes de uma coisa? Aqui que ninguém nos ouve....eu não concordo nada com esta treta do compatibilismo...somos determinados, pura e simplesmente e apenas desconhecemos muitas das leis que regem o nosso comportamento. Da liberdade, só temos a ilusão. Tudo, rigorosamente tudo, está fora do nosso controle...somos as marionetas da natureza que um dia sonharam ser homens....

Pessoalmente (claro está), acho que afirmar que as nossas são "determinadas" por "acontecimentos anteriores e remotos, sobre os quais não temos qualquer tipo de responsabilidade" é muito forte. Ok, não estamos de modo algum a falar de um destino ou de algo do género que programe ao pormenor todos os acontecimentos futuros. Acho que, am lugar de estarmos determinados, estamos mais "condicionados", se é que me percebes. Não creio (ou talvez me custe um bocado a acreditar, confesso) que a liberdade não passa de uma ilusão criada por nós próprios. Mas também não a vejo como uma oportuniadde de escolha infinita. Acho que é mais uma escolha entre um número restrito de opções, essas sim, influenciadas, "condicionadas", por diversos factores...
É mais ou menos como a formiga que, em frente a uma centena de túneis, só pode esolher um de cinco, porque os outro estão tapados (se é que me fiz entender)...

Há opções, sim, entre essas posições opostas...todavia, lá está, esse "meio-termo" acaba por ser algo difícil de definir porque, como meio termo, não é uma coisa, mas também não é a outra! No fundo, quando falas em estarmos condicionados se formos pensar bem, podemos encontrar aí verdadeiros determinismos!Imagina que tens um gene (portanto algo que não controlas) que é responsável por um apetite insaciável por caracóis (ehehehe)1 Estás, portanto, "condicionado" a comer caracóis quando estes te são apresentados juntamente com umas tostas mistas! Dizes:"Ah, eu prefiro caracóis!!! Fica tu com as mistas!"...portanto, tu julgas que estás verdadeiramente a escolher os caracóis, mas na verdade não estás...tu só "podias" escolher os caracóis...consegui fazer-me entender? Este é um exemplo um bocado bizarro, mas a ideia parece-me clara...Em rigor estamos carregados de todo o tipo de determinismos...eu vivo melhor a pensar assim...

...diante desta noite carregada de sinais e de estrelas, eu abria-me pela primeira vez à terna indiferença do Mundo. Acho que, como é óbvio, estamos condicionados a certas e determinadas regras que nos foram impostas. É bom que estas regras existam. Porque quando nós pensamos que é um direito nosso, no fundo só estamos a invadir os direitos das outras pessoas. O que eu quero dizer com isto é o seguinte, apesar de estarmos condicionados à nossa sociedade, mesmo à educação que nos é facultada e também, como a IM referiu, por genes, a nossa razão e o nosso bom senso quando bem usados, permite-nos fazer escolhas. Deste modo posso dizer que somos livres de escolher, condicionados às regras anteriormente referidas. Acho também que somos, e devemos, ser responsabilizados pelas nossas atitudes se estas dependerem necessariamente de nós e não de outros. Por exemplo : " Deixo a minha namorada, ela suicida-se." Eu não sou responsável por ela. Apenas por mim mesmo e pelas minhas decisões.
P.S : Gostei muito do blog, vou adiciona-lo aos meus blogs de interesse.

Se por ventura considerares que não temos responsabilidade em nada, então é porque não existe livre arbítrio. Só assim não somos responsáveis pelo que fazemos.
